Manchester United youngster, Shola Shoretire last night joined EFL League One side, Bolton Wanderers on a loan deal until the end of the season.
Shoretire, broke into the Man United first team under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer in 2021 and he joins a club, who are currently fifth in League One and are looking to secure promotion to the Championship under manager Ian Evatt.
The move will hopefully allow the Man United Academy graduate his first experience of playing regular men’s first-team football and he might get his first taste of a huge fixture as Bolton are in action against Derby County on Saturday at 3pm at Pride Park.
The opportunity to play for a huge football club is a great opportunity for Shoretire and he will quickly understand the demands of playing for what some might consider to be a Premier League club.
The United man, who was nominated for the Premier League 2 ‘Player of the Month’ award for October [Man Utd], has featured against the Trotters this season as he played against his new club in the Papa John’s Trophy, which was a game in which United lost 4-0 and subsequently were eliminated from the competition at the University of Bolton Stadium.
Shoretire has been in the matchday squad for United under Erik ten Hag this season as he was among the substitutes for the game against Aston Villa in both the Premier League and Carabao Cup back in November, and it is likely that United will monitor his progress regularly as he embarks on his first move away from Manchester United.
